Introducing Cozy Cottage :
This month we are starting work on two houses! That’s right two houses.
We thought we better kick it up a notch and that’s exactly what we did.
The first one we have named cozy cottage it’s such an adorable house and we have so many ideas for it.
The second house, which we just closed on on the 7th, is named boho.
This one has a lot of really cool features and you’re going to want to take a peek as soon as its finished.
But for this blog, we’ll focus on the Cozy Cottage.
Some Insight on Cozy Cottage:
As you all know, we recently bought two new houses to flip into someone’s dream home.
The first one of our houses, which we closed on on October 1st, we named cozy cottage.
We were and still are so excited to make this house feel like home to someone special, but we’ve hit a couple roadblocks, which is normal for this type of work.
If you check out our latest Instagram/Facebook post, you’ll find that it was our plan to restore the original hardwood flooring we found underneath the added on flooring:
Well, we found out some disheartening news.
The hardwood flooring is unrestorable.
This was the saddest news to us, all of our plans had to be scrapped and we are now on the hunt for good and affordable flooring.
What would you do?
Do you think it’s worth it to find hardwood flooring to replace the un-restorable wood, or do you think we should just lay down carpet/tile?
Let us know what you think!
Have a great week! Thanks for tuning in.
It’s finished!
You heard that right, we finished our second house!
We are so proud of the way that Cozy Cottage turned out.
We first bought this house in early October, and it’s already finished now at the end of November.
The Story
When we first bought this house we were so excited to be able to refinish the hardwood flooring.
But as you all know, that didn’t go as planned.
We found that they were too far gone so we had to go with a different option for flooring.
But we couldn’t be happier with the choices we made.
We love the way that it all fits together, and looks so home-y.
We added a few more touches with this one to try to make it feel like home.
For example, the green wall in the dining room, or the soft carpet throughout the home. We love that it looks chic and modern, but also lived in.
